My name is Mike Bagley. Let me be the first to welcome you to our church website. We are honored that you would visit us here in this way.
First off, let me start by telling you a bit about our church.
We are a seeker friendly congregation where all are welcome to come and worship with us. Our church has been in the heart of Pleasant Grove for over 50 years. Every member of this church has a heart and a true desire to develop a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.
We also each have a strong desire to reach out to the people of Pleasant Grove and the surrounding areas, and to proclaim the gospel of the Risen Savior.
Each of us is here because we truly love the people of the LDS church. Our desire is not bash or derail the faith of anyone, but to bring everyone whom we come into contact with to a true knowledge of the Jesus of the Bible.
Someday unavoidably we are all going to die and stand before our creator. At that time the first question out of his mouth will not be what religion you were. (any religion in and of itself will not save you) He will say”Is your name written in the Lambs Book of Life?”
I have but one question for you today as you read this blog. Is your name written in the Lambs Book Of Life? Are you sure? Are all the works you have done and all the tithe you have given going to be enough to be one of the chosen? Well if you believe that works and money can gain you access to the kingdom of God you are mistaken.
The Bible says in the book of Ephesians chapter 2 (KJV)
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
It is all by his grace we have been saved through faith! But it is also a gift and should you choose not to accept this free gift then his salvation through the Blood of Jesus Christ is not yours and your name is not written in the Lambs Book of Life. It is nothing you can either earn or be worthy of.
Romans 3: 10-11 KJV
10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Good people do not go to heaven. Only forgiven people go to heaven. No one will ever be good enough on their own accord.
If anything you have just read has spoken to you, I assure you that it was not me you heard. It was Jesus Christ, Almighty God speaking to you. I am only a man of unclean lips, a sinner saved by nothing but the grace of God.
But it would be my greatest pleasure to share with you the best gift I have ever received, and that gift would be the saving grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Please allow me to explain to you what Gods’ love truly is. Romans 5:6-17(KJV) says it better than I ever could.
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: 13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. 15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. 16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. 17 For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
I look forward to hearing from any and all who come and read this blog.
May God Bless you deeply in your search for His Truth.
